NickName Series

I feel like I've been doing alot of Birdy paintings and need to freshen up some of my art. I was thinking of doing a new Series called Nicknames. I have so many crazy nicknames for My hubby and Little human.

Like Sugar lips, Sugar bear, Sugar cube. Cuddle bug, Love boat.. the list goes on.

I would love to get some of your Nickname ideas and possibly use them for a painting..

So let the nicknames begin, I would love to hear from you!

Commission Work- IDEAS!

Art Adventures

Its been awhile since a nice blog post. I have been running around doing a few artsy fartsy things. 2 weeks ago I was in the Warren Art Festival and it was a really good crowd. Warren is my hometown and it was good to see a few familiar faces, some from High school.. (10 yrs plus now!) Warren art festival Gives awards for several categories, I ended up winning 1st prize in the sculpture category for one of my Cigar box monsters!

Besides Warren art festival, I hope to be attending SOWA market in Boston August 29Th (Sunday). In addition to that I will be showing my art in Boston Next week at Accidental Gallery. It will be up for a month. (Sept 12Th)

SO i am working on a few last minute pieces for that show. tell me what you think:)

This Past weekend I Went to DECordova Museum and Sculpture park. It was pretty Awesome. Once a month they have Free Fridays 5-9pm. So my little family and I enjoyed the sounds of music and explored through the sculpture park. Chakaia Booker has a really cool Exhibit up of Recycled Tire Sculptures.. this one is Teags and Trav peaking through one.

Saturday of this past weekend We drove up to Yarmouthport, MA (Cape Cod) and hit up the Edward Gorey house and Museum.. It was a such a joy to see an artists home and what they collected and where they created.
